About Dunnamaggin After-School.
Dunnamaggin After-school has been set up for families in the Dunnamaggin area based in St Leonards N.S. The Dunnamaggin After-School is providing an After-School programme before school and after school to those who wish to avail of this service. Dunnamaggin After-School has been set up by Ciara Lawton who currently has children in St Leonards N.S and understands the demand for a service like this in the small village and sees the pressure on working parents on a daily basis with no facilities close by. I hope by setting up Dunnamaggin After-School it will take the worrying out of finding suitable After-School care, organising school pick up, homework and snack by offering this onsite service so that parents can have complete peace of mind knowing that their child is in a safe, structured, stimulating and familiar environment.
My role as a Qualified Childcare Professional is to share the care of children with parents in an open partnership, which respects their wishes. Dunnamaggin After-School is a welcoming place for children with facilities to accommodate children's homework daily and provide a nutritional snack. Our mission is to provide the highest Quality Care and Education of children that is child centred holistic and values all children as individuals. Dunnamaggin After-School will provide an environment that allows each child to develop at his/her own pace. At Dunnamaggin After-School our programme is child led and has a wide range of creative and physical activities that children can use throughout the afternoon that will stimulate them both physically and cognitively while assisting them building their confidence. There will be activities to encourage self-confidence, curiosity and assisting in the development of the child's social and emotional skills.
Dunnamaggin After-School will provide a programme ensuring that each child is catered for in accordance with their age, ability and interest.

"My kids absolutely adored attending after school from their very first day. Never are they ready for school as fast as the days they are going to Dunnamaggin afterschool, wanting to maximum their time there with their friends and the variety of activities available to them. As a mother, I know they are being taken such good care of, Ciara’s professionalism married with being such a caring person herself means I’m assured they feel safe and at ease in her care. Ciara and Cyndi really provide a five star service 🙌"

"I can't say enough good things about the after school service. Ciara and Cindi make a great team. They go above and beyond in the service they provide every single day. My son is excited going in both before and after school and I always have peace of mind knowing he is in a caring and safe environment. Excellent service and highly recommended."

"Ciara and her staff, at Dunnamaggin After Schools, provide an invaluable service for my family. My children look forward to spending time with their friends in this safe, happy environment. Following a healthy nutritious snack they can receive support while completing their written homework if necessary. The hall itself provides adequate space needed for games and activities, and on dry days the children have access to a large outdoor area. We are lucky to have such a wonderful service within our community.."
