2nd, 3rd & 4th class went on the annual Easter walk this afternoon.

They started at the old cemetery, visiting the High Cross, the old church (12th century) and the rath.

Next they stopped at St Leonard's Well and Bush.

After that the site of the demolished Church, signified by the mass rock was explored.

Then St Leonard's Church was visited where the pupils saw the Baptismal Font; the same one that was in three churches. While there, they discussed the Stations of the Cross; remembering the Journey of the Cross.

Finally the Statue of Captain Pat Walsh was explored and we remembered the history of Pat Walsh and his contribution to Ireland's battle for Independence.
