Local History Trip

2nd, 3rd & 4th classes visited Gairdín na Gorta in Newmarket and learned about the significance of the famine on Ireland and the Irish people. They also were introduced to the art of thatching.

Next they visited Castlemorris, where once a grand House stood. They did the Red Route through the woods and finished by visiting Aghavillar Church and Round Tower.
